ISTANBUL - Turkish Airlines (THY) suspended on Wednesday flights to Beijing and Shanghai, China till June 15.
THY officials stated that there was an increasing decrease in reservations for Beijing and Shanghai flights due to the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) outbreak in China.
Flights to China were suspended till June 15 due to this decrease, the officials said.
The officials noted that passengers who had earlier booked for those flights would be sent to China by other airline companies with which THY had signed contracts.
THY officials said that the state of reservations for Hong Kong flights which had earlier been announced to be suspended till May 18 were being investigating, adding that they would decide whether or not to resume those flights according to that investigation.
