AH- Turkey sent Osman Paksut, Turkish ambassador to Iraq, to Baghdad, although U.S. said that they could not provide the security. Paksut, who returned Turkey on March 26 before the war, left Ankara on Thursday to go to Baghdad. Before the departure of Paksut, U.S. Embassy to Ankara applied to the Foreign Ministry and voiced that U.S. could not assure about the security of the Turkish embassy and ambassador. U.S. Embassy stressed that they declared the information the whole counties, which were sending their ambassadors to Baghdad.
Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul said that many countries resent their ambassador to the region and they decided as to that.
Meanwhile, diplomatic sources stressed that a detailed investigation were being done between Turkey and U.S. about the removal of PKK militants from Iraq and after withdrawal of Turkish Armed Forces from the region. The armies and foreign ministries of the two countries are preparing fight plans with PKK in the framework of the international fight with terror.
