ANKARA - Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday that International Monetary Fund (IMF) was pleased with the course of economic program that it implemented on Turkey and added, ''they said that they saw our determination in implementation and so their confidence was increasing each day.''
Erdogan replied to questions of reporters regarding his meeting with IMF First Deputy Managing Director Anne Krueger held on Wednesday evening, while leaving governors meeting in Prime Ministry.
Erdogan said that they had held preliminary meeting of review meetings with IMF.
Upon a question, Erdogan said that IMF was pleased with the course of economic program and added, ''they see current economic parameters very well. They said, if this implementation continues in the same way, they believed that, parameters will continue like that and develop in a positive way.''
When recalled the news regarding that IMF had asked the determination of government in fulfilling the economic program, Erdogan said that those news were baseless and added that on the contrary, they said that they saw government's determination in implementation and their confidence was increasing each day.
