National Defense Minister Gonul Goes To U.S.

ISTANBUL - National Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul left for the U.S. to participate in the consultation meetings to be held between NATO and Ukraine between 4-5 May.
Gonul who left for New York, will later proceed to Washington D.C.
Contributions of NATO and Ukraine to building of peace and security, the results of Ukrainian Defense Reform, transformation of Ukrainian Defense Ministry, implementation of defense and security aspects of NATO-Ukraine action plan will be taken up during the meetings.
Gonul will also attend meetings on May 6 in Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) with U.S. Congress members who carry out studies on Turkey, and with non-governmental organisations and press members.
Gonul will return to Turkey on May 7.
