EDIRNE - A Greek-flagged boat which fished in territorial waters of Turkey without permission off shore Enez township of northwestern Edirne province was captured.
Boat and crew were taken to Enez port and legal proceeding was launched.
Sources told the A.A correspondent on Wednesday that a coast guard boat determined that 30-meter length and 7.5-meter width Greek-flagged boat namely, ''Moralis D'', fished in territorial waters of Turkey.
Boat was taken to Enez port. Greek origin Giannis Morolis, who is the captain of the boat, and crew members; Khaled El Sayed Mohammed Fovda, Mohamed El Sayed Elestanboli, Hamdy Shokry and Fathy Abou-Amasha of Egyptian origin were taken into custody.
Officials said that legal proceeding was launched about captain and crew members on charges of fishing in territorial waters of Turkey without permission in accordance with article 21 of no. 1380 Water Products Law.
Officials added that suspects would be sent to judicial authorities after legal proceedings.
Security officials seized a trawl equipment and 29 cases of fish with various types.
