Red Crescent Convoy Arrives In Baghdad

ANKARA - Red Crescent's aid convoy arrived in Baghdad on Tuesday. The convoy departed from Turkey to carry five trucks of aid equipment to Kirkuk and Baghdad.
Sources said no complaint was conveyed to Ankara about the problems which the Red Crescent delegation met.
As the Red Crescent convoy tried to proceed from Kirkuk to Baghdad, U.S. soldiers stated that the trucks should go through control in their bases in the airport.
As it was stated that Turkish Red Crescent was an institution launching international activities, permission was given for the trucks to pass.
The delegation met a second problem on its second stop.
As the delegation wanted to give medicine to a hospital which is under the control of Peshmergas, an international document was requested about the chemical items of the medicine. This problem was also solved afterwards.
