SILOPI - Red Crescent's aid convoy passed from Habur border gate near Silopi township of southeastern Sirnak province to Iraq on Monday.
Justice and Development Party (AK Party) Balikesir deputy Turhan Comez told the A.A correspondent at Habur border gate that there were 31 people including, Republican People's Party (CHP) Mersin deputy Huseyin Guler in the convoy taking aid equipment to Iraq.
Stating that there were seven trucks and four ambulances in the convoy, Comez said, ''there are doctors and technical experts in 31-person delegation. We will take medical equipment and medicine to hospitals in Mosul and Kirkuk. We will stay in Kirkuk tonight and proceed to Mosul tomorrow. After meetings there, Red Crescent's mobile hospital in Silopi will be taken to settlement unit in Iraq. We launched initiatives to bring urgent patients to Turkey. Patients can be brought to Turkey by cargo plane. Patients can be taken from Kuwait since the plane cannot land at Baghdad.''
