When asked whether or not Turkey would send soldiers to Iraq, Gonul said, ''coalition forces on March 24 announced what they needed. Media reflected this as if they wanted soldiers. This issue has been conveyed to Prime Minister.''
Gonul said Turkey was ready to contribute rebuilding of Iraq, and to every kind of aid to Iraq. He said, ''this is not only limited with request for soldiers. The United States will re-examine the issue, and it will be re-evaluated after consultations.''
