''FREE PASSAGE'' MANEUVER FROM TRNC
Government of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) allowed daily passages to Greek Cypriot side. Those who show their identity cards can pass, work and make shopping in the south. Greek Cypriot side also gave permission to the passages to TRNC.

GUL: DON'T WORRY WE WILL GET BUSINESS IN IRAQ
Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, speaking to contractors, pointed out that, ''don't worry, we will be influential in Iraq and get business. This is not only construction of buildings. There are lots of things to do there.''
Gul stated that the government would expend every necessary support to Turkish contractors.

ASSOCIATIONS TO BE GATHERED UNDER ONE ROOF
Secretary General of National Security Council (NSC) Gen. Tuncer Kilinc visited some European cities aiming to gather the Turkish associations under one roof. The project envisages the associations to launch initiatives for Turkey's interests.
The project carried out by Gen. Kilinc is extremely important for Turkey's promotion and interests.

ERDOGAN PREVENTED SENER FROM SPEAKING
Crisis between Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his aide Abdullatif Sener increases. Erdogan, following yesterday's Council of Ministers meeting, did not want Sener to make a statement as ''acting Spokesman''. Lobbies say Sener may resign at any moment.

ONE PRIME MINISTER TO EVERY CITY
Ankara shrinks in the end: Many authorities of central administration will be handed over to elected mayors and governors. Influence of mayors will be increased.
A concrete step will be taken pertaining to strengthening of ''local'' administration with a draft law that would be brought onto the agenda of the Parliament in May.
Municipalities of cities, apart from Istanbul and Ankara will be lifted. Mayors of provinces will be authorized in all provincial borders.

WALL COLLAPSED IN TRNC AFTER 30 YEARS
Ban on passage to the Greek Cypriot side following Peace Operation in 1974, was lifted on Monday.
TRNC government, which convened under the leadership of TRNC Prime Minister Dervis Eroglu, allowed passages to the Greek Cypriot side between 09.00-24.00 local time. Details of the decision, which people described as ''surprise'' will be announced today.
With this initiative, the TRNC government, took a step toward the Greek Cypriot side who was getting ready to take some economic measures against Turkish Cypriots.

FIRST SARS SUSPICION
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus, which spread throughout the world rapidly and which killed 205 people so far, was reported to be spread to Turkey.
A 45-year old woman, whose name was not given, and who returned from abroad a short while ago, was taken under medical treatment in Istanbul Haseki Hospital with suspicion of SARS.

RESPONSE TO CLAIM OF GENOCIDE
Prime Ministry State Archives Directorate General opened to use thousands of original documents that prove massacres committed by Armenians on the internet.
The documents which were kept in Ottoman Archives Department due to the so-called genocide on Armenians were opened to use in the internet address ''www.devletarsivleri.gov.tr.''
It was stated in the internet site that the documents were opened in order to show that the Armenian claims were baseless.
The site covered original documents of the massacres committed by Armenians between 1914 and 1921 in various provinces particularly Kars, Ardahan, Van, Trabzon, Bitlis, Kilis, Adana, Erzurum, Ardahan.

MARKETS GET LETTER
After the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the letter of intent and released slice of credit worth of 701 million U.S. dollars, expended support to improvement in financial markets.
One U.S. dollars decreased yesterday and became 1 million 595 thousand lira. The Stock Exchange increased 250 points.

185 KG HEROIN SEIZED
Narcotics teams confiscated 18.5 kg heroin in an operation held in Kucukcekmece district. Nine people were detained in operations.
The Narcotics Department issued a statement and said Ilker Guncan was captured as he was about to transport the heroin, which he provided from a neighboring country, to European countries.
Police found the heroin in packages hidden in secret parts of the minibus.

TURKISH MODEL TO ''NEW IRAQ''
James Woolsey, the former president of CIA, which was reported to take place in rebuilding of Iraq, pointed out that the most appropriate democracy administration for Iraq is Turkey model.
Woolsey said even though some results were obtained, which did not comply with foreign policy of the United States like Turkey's not allowing passage of the U.S. soldiers in Iraq war, presence of democracy in a Moslem country was very important. He said they wanted a model, similar to Turkey, for Iraq.

FIRST THY TO BAGHDAD
Turkish Airlines (THY) Executive Board President Abdurrahman Gundogdu said they were exerting efforts to make the THY to be the first plane that would hold the first flight to Baghdad.
Stating that THY did not suffer much from war in Iraq, Gundogdu said the company would be re-structured again.
Gundogdu said they would be the first airlines company that would land in Iraq when flights resume.

''GENOCIDE'' SHADOW OVER NORMALIZATION
Turkish-French relations, which suffered damage from so-called genocide on Armenians and Iraq war, can not get rid of from the shadow of ''genocide''. Dominique de Villepin, Foreign Minister of France, which adopted a negative attitude regarding Turkey's membership to European Union (EU) during last year's Copenhagen Summit, and which raised reservations in NATO's providing protection to Turkey, will hold contacts in Ankara today.
French Minister is expected to call for support from Ankara for Iraq.
