Trabzonspor toppled Aytemiz Alanyaspor 1-0 in a nail-biting Turkish Super Lig match on Sunday to join the title race.

Home team Trabzonspor broke the deadlock in the 67th minute as Iranian defender Majid Hosseini converted the penalty successfully.

Trabzonspor and Alanyaspor were each down to 10 men during this match. Trabzonspor midfielder Abdulkadir Parmak was sent off in the first half after a sliding tackle.

Near the end of the match, Alanyaspor winger Junior Fernandes was shown the red card for protesting the referee’s call. In the 81st minute, he was shown his first yellow card after a foul.
