Israel detains Palestinian for 'spying for Hamas'

JERUSALEM (AA) – Israeli security forces have detained a Palestinian in East Jerusalem for allegedly spying for Palestinian faction Hamas.

Israel's Security Agency (Shin Bet) said that Mohamed Abu Tayeh had been detained in the Silwan neighborhood, army radio reported.

According to the radio, Abu Tayeh had been recruited by Hamas in Jordan.

The Central Court in Jerusalem on Monday issued an indictment against the Palestinian man for spying for Hamas.
