Newcastle United forward out for two months

ANKARA - Newcastle United's Dutch forward Siem de Jong will be sidelined for two months because of lung surgery, it was announced Wednesday.

The English Premier League team said that the Switzerland born Dutch forward, who suffered from a collapsed lung (Pneumothorax), underwent surgery. It would take approximately two months for the 26-year-old player to get back.

The player faced a similar health issue in 2013 when he played for the Dutch giants, Ajax.

Having started his professional career at Ajax in 2007, de Jong was signed by Newcastle United for €8 million ($9 million) around last summer.
