2 Jordanians injured by missile fired from Syria

AMMAN (AA) – Two Jordanians were injured on Saturday when a missile fired from Syria fell into the northern city of Ar Ramtha, a security source has said.

The source, who requested anonymity, told The Anadolu Agency that the two victims were immediately taken to hospital for treatment.

A medical source, meanwhile, said the two victims sustained light and moderate injuries in the attack.

There has been no claim of responsibility for the rocket fire and Jordanian authorities have yet to comment.

Missiles fired from restive Syria fall every now and then on Jordanian cities located on the Hashemite Kingdom's joint border with Syria.

Syria has been in civil war for almost four years now, which left tens of thousands of people dead and displaced millions.
