NEW YORK - An Iraq war veteran suspected of killing his ex-wife and five of her family members in the state of Pennsylvania was found dead Tuesday, authorities said.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's office confirmed that the body of 35-year-old Bradley William Stone was discovered in the woods near his home in Pennsburg, about 40 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

Authorities did not disclose a cause of death or any other information but local media said Stone killed himself with a sword, and that same weapon was used in the murders.

Monday's killing spree that started at about 4 a.m. local time (GMT 0900), led to a manhunt that continued deep into the early hours of Tuesday.

The bodies of the victims were found at three separate locations in Souderton, Lansdale and Lower Salford Township on Monday. They suffered gunshot and cutting wounds, authorities said.
