AYDIN, Turkey

Four suspects were arrested in western Turkey on Thursday in an operation in which a large amount of homemade wine was seized.

Acting on a tip, gendarmerie teams in Aydin province launched the operation in the Kirazli neighborhood, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

The suspects were planning to release the wine to the market ahead of New Year’s Day, the source added.
